To the story that is close to our hearts; of Allahyarham Nurin Jazlin.
It is so appalling to read and hear reports of the possibility that prosecution action can be taken against Nurin's parents for negligence!
This is outrageous out-right stupid & blatantly insensitive.
Her parents have suffered enough and everyone should allow them to take time to grieve over the sudden & untimely passing of their beloved daughter. They would most probably carry this grief for the rest of their lives. What they need now is support & time and space to mourn but certainly not punishment.
This process will take time as after grieving comes the process of healing. Their other children need them most right now and they both must be strong for them. So by suggesting the possibility that action can be taken against them is disgusting!
What we all should do right now is to focus on how to nab this evil demonic murderer who is still at large as quickly as possible! This should be a concerted effort.
And those in powers should start to organise a campaign throughout this country to create awareness amongst parents that it is no longer safe to leave their children alone and unattended. They must be supervised at all times if not by their parents by a responsible guardian.
Remember the case of Adik Yin who was lost in a blink of an eye at a public place? He was so lucky to have been in good care and eventually returned unharmed to his parents. It is unbearable to imagine what could have happened if he were to fall in the wrong hands. God forbid! And God forbids that there should be another case like this again.
It is time for our society to wake up. Be alert and be responsible. Children are innocent beings and in their world there is no enemy and everyone's a friend. To them their only fear is to ghosts and goblins. Maybe we should tell this to our children beside the old famous 'don't talk to strangers, don't accept sweets from strangers' advice; that is there are ghosts & goblins out there looking for children to take them away, so don't ever let yourself alone anymore!
The fact is our country used to be a safe place for children where they could play freely in the playground among themselves, cycling around the neighbourhood, going to shops to buy goodies; all on their own. This scenario has now ceased to exist. Not because the children are uncontrollable but because they could easily fall prey to predators who are unseen by everyone; camouflage in a natural surrounding. This is a grisly reality that every parent in our country should accept and be aware of at all times; that is ... our place is no longer safe for children to go outside moving around freely on their own like it used to be, period!
To arwah Nurin's parents; be strong and keep the Faith and to her siblings & other family members; Nurin sekarang ahli Syurga & berada di sisi Allah kerana Allah lebih menyayangi dia. Al-Fatihah.

Yes, its sad to know about Nurin Jazlin. Applaud the effort to post sthing about it. I tried to blog about it and the nearest i came was only to say how disappointed and afraid i am, not writing a complete essay to describe my feelings about it.
keep up the spirit.
Hi MH 71, nice blog. I read your post about Nurin. Do you know that there are a group of bloggers calling for the setting of the NURIN Alert to help save missing children alive. Please join the Citizens for NURIN Alert (CFNA)in calling for the system. Read about NURIN Alert in the latest issue of TELL magazine available in all bookstores. It's for the children as we don't want another Nurin ever again.
