You all might be thinking, what in the name of topic is this? Planning a plan? Am i trying to be fancy with titles for my posting nowadays? Come to think of it... yeah why not. It does sound a little catchy. Planning to Plan or perhaps planning a plan. Like planting a plant. Ok that settles then. If i ever going to write a book i'll reserve this title Planning a Plan as the main title of my book.
But then what shall i write about in my book? About my life story? Hell no. Who would want to read a story about someone who has just failed miserably in making choices in life and has yet to recover from it? In other words who would want to read a book about losing weight written by someone who has yet to lose any?
Anyway, i kind of think that in life we plan all sorts of things but at the end if it is not meant to be.. well it won't happen. Sometimes it turned out that the plan that we have planned to carry out, if carried out and materialised will have an adverse impact on us. In other words it could turn against us. For example you plan to climb a mountain. For months you have been planning this but on the date planned something came up which disallowed you to join the team to go. You felt angry and sad obviously for not being able to go. But then it turned out that something disastrous had happenned. Those who did go - according to the plan - were unfortunately and tragically struck by lightning , all of them upon reaching the top of the mountain. And some even perished at the site. How then would you feel? Still angry and sad or relieve and overjoy that you have been spared. Maybe you would feel ashamed of yourself for being angry and sad in the first place. Ohh don't ask me whether this is a true story or not because i am just proposing a storyline out of my imagination to drive home a point.
My point is obvious. Sometimes when our plan does not go accordingly, it may turn out to be the best thing that ever happen to us! As a Muslim i am always reminded of the 6th pillar of my faith that is believing in 'Qada' & Qadar', believing that our fate has been destined by our Creator. It is none other than God the Almighty who sometimes intervenes in our planning to do or carry out something. Coz He knows best.
It happened to me a lot. Sometimes i cringed in sorrow and wondering why, oh why the plan that i had made did not go accordingly and had in fact failed miserably? It turned out that had my plan did happen, then i would be in a bigger trouble than I was at that time. Well, trouble in the sense of losses and wastage of time.
Thus far i am very happy that i have come to terms with myself and i can just say that i have reconciled all the differences in me and rearranged my priorities. If the 'dulang' in front of me has only got a bowl of porridge, take it and be grateful to the Provider for giving such blessings. It's not the item that matters. What matters are eventhough you dont actually deserve anything, but still you are given something to fill in your stomach. yes He is truly the Most Beneficient and the Most Merciful.
I used to neglect all these porridges on my 'dulang' and kept waiting for the biG fish to land on it. This is because I have been promised by some people that a biG fish is going to land on my 'dulang' soon provided if i do as they say. I was ever ready for anything. Hey who wouldn't? I was already imagining the biG fish, that is cooked in 3 tastes (ikan masak 3 rasa lah!) or perhaps the sumptuous steamed fish cooked chinese style! It turned out that these people are no better than the fishmongers themselves, waiting likewise because someone else have promised them the same. Now at least even there are anchovies landed on my dulang i will greatly appreciate it compared to the promises from these people who produce nothing other than the famous saying in Malay meaning - 'dirt also don't have'!
Well it turned out that these porridges that were placed in my dulang by the Almighty had really saved the day for me. It is because of these small porridges that kept me going till today when by the standard of reasonableness and in all probability i should have been succumbed to destitute and probably eligible to receive 'zakat' designated for the fakir miskin. Seriously! But praise to the Almighty somehow or rather i did survive and am still surviving though painfully. Well i must say that i shouldnt take the credit on my own. Many thanks and love to my other better half who without fear and shame bulldozed her way through like a champion. I would never forget the sacrifice, my dear! The only regret i have was why i didnt see this sooner. I am sure there is a reason for these things to happen.
As it is i am now more cautious than ever. I dont take people's words in verbatim anymore especially in terms of my 'rezeki' or blessings in my life. I believe that i must have a plan in life. Not only that I must plan to plan my life. So that eventhough i am having this biG opportunity that promises a biG fish in return, i will not forget nor abandon my daily routines no matter how small or insignificant it may be compared to the biG fish i hope to get.
Well, by now you are wondering is there any point to things i have spoken thus far? Oh yes there is. I am announcing a possibility that i may be flying off to far away land in days to come. Where you might ask? Well at the moment let me borrow the words of our infamous Datin Seri Dato' CT Nurhaliza ... Biarlah rahsia (Let it be a secret)
----------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------
So, thats it. Thats my plan. I used to say that I am now planning to go... but now i would prefer saying and now I am planning a plan to go overseas on such a such a date and if God Willing this journey shall take place in a few days or so.
Please wait for my journey entry once the journey begins but till then I shall be posting some new stuff along the way.
Have a Good Day.
Home Sweet Home.

The month of december
Assalamu'alaikum,
It's the month of december. countdown to new year. 2008 that is. I've been so preoccupied with little things in life and seemed to forget that i do have a bloG to update.
A lot has happenned a month ago. In our country that is. street demonstrations have predominantly occupied our mainstream media, lately.
My view is reserved. I am practising the 'look see' attitude. Hey c'mmon, like everyone else i am also malaysian. thats what we all do right? we all like to 'look & see' whether it would effect us in any way. if it doesn't we would normally leave it as it is and go on with our lives. But if it does effect our lives we will 'look & see' whether it would have a grave effect to our present life or not, in other words how serious is it? if no, we will leave it & carry on with our lives as usual. By the way, most of us wouldn't care if it effects our 'cucus' or 'cicits'. Dont ask me why.
Well okay, let's face it. It seems there is a segment of our society who feel that they have been sidelined and marginalised for the past 50 years since we gained our independence. They also alleged that they have somewhat been oppressed to a certain extent and in some cases the allegation goes as far as being cleansed out of existence. Their ethnicity that is. Well, if you do live in malaysia, born and bred that is, you would know that these allegations are nothing more than a load of - the substance that is being processed by our Indah Water.
Ok, ok ... for those sympathisers out there, yes i would agree to a certain extent that these segment of our society who according to the statistics are the minority race in this country MIGHT have been marginalised and sidelined. BUT Hey! wait! Dont we all feel marginalised and sidelined at times, even if we belong to the race group that are known as 'the prince of earth' or those race group that when they celebrate their new year almost majority of our shops will be closed for a week? This feeling is shared by all of us no matter what race we belong to.
Okay. Let us be realistic Imagine we are being ruled by the British. This supposition is on the 'what if basis'. That is what if our Almarhum Tunku and his delegates were denied independence 50 years ago?
Let us see what could have happenned. First, I verily believe that our prime minister will be somebody who carries a surname instead of a 'bin' or 'binti' or a/l or a/p. Maybe our petronas will be BP instead, that is british petroleum and our satellite tv will come directly under the BBC. How about the aviation industry. Yes maybe for the country's sake they will allow malaysia airlines to fly just like when they allowed the cathay pacific when they ruled Hong Kong. But Air Asia? Headed by a minority race? i doubt so very much. How about our ports? will they allow it to be run by a minority race also?
Let's face it. I believe we all can agree if our quest for independence 50 years ago was denied or failed for whatever reason maybe, our country would not be the same. For the better, you would ask? I doubt so very much. Unless you are a die hard fan of the union jack and a loyal subject of the Queen of England, maybe you would feel like 'died and went to heaven'.
Ok my question is, if really truly the Indians have been marginalised and sidelined deliberately by the Government and victimised for the last 50 years do you think: -
a. one of them can control our satellite TV? Owned one of the biggest telecommunication company? and this person who carries the title tan sri is reported to be the wealthiest person if not, the second most wealthiest person in the country.
b. they are allowed to build a very huge statue in batu caves in gold colour overlooking the city? and not to forget to carry on with their yearly procession of carrying 'kavadi' and what not during the thaipusam.
c. the celebration of their faith known to us as deepavali and others as diwali be given a public holiday status and being celebrated nationally as rumah terbuka deepavali and attended by our King and PM? also thaipusam for some states?
d. one of them jointly owned in majority and operates a very successful low cost air carrier in the country known as air asia?
e. their schools and temples flourished everywhere eventhough some have been disallowed due to non approval by the local municipality.
f. one of our ports situated in klang is being operated by one of them also carries a title tan sri.
g. can win 1st ever malaysian idol.
... and i think the list goes on and on

Janganlah 'be too apologetic'.
OK. Best regards always.

Harga Minyak makin Naik.
In the news...
It is heavily speculated that by the end of this year oil price will hit the mark One Hundred Dollars (USD100) per barrel! By looking at the present situation the speculation will turn to reality as the price is lingering around Ninety Five Dollars (USD95) per barrel.
This will certainly cause hardship around the world especially to people and companies that rely heavily on oil & gas especially to utilities companies. Undoubtedly and eventually this will hurt the people too as they will have to suffer not only to pay more for petrol but also price hike of other goods.
---
So apa nak jadi?
Pak Lah diam lagi
Bingung pasal subsidi
Boleh ke nak dibagi lagi ?
Son In Law dah bersuara
Rombakkan sistem subsidi yang sedia ada
Supaya kerajaan berlaku adil katanya
Jangan bagi kepada mereka yang berupaya
So macam mana wahai Son In Law ?
Jadi seruku
padamu
wahai saudaraku
Keluarlah ke alam realiti
di zaman kini
yang susah
tak semestinya susah
dan yang senang
tak semestinya senang.
Lagi-lagi
di negara ini
yakni
yang papa lagi bergaya
dan yang kaya bijak berkata-kata
So cadangan saya senang saja
Apa kata Son In Law mulakannya
Jangan bayar harga subsidi
Bayarlah untuk rakyat sekali
Kerana anda seorang pemimpin
Serukanlah juga kepada yang lain-lain
Terutama yang peroleh juta-juta
Hasil dari 'khidmat kepada rakyat'
Ingatlah wahai para ketua
Nanti takut rezeki tak berkat.
Gemilang Terbilang Cemerlang
Janganlah suka Temberang!!

In a related news, a few US Congressmen have recently approached the President of the United States on the present turmoil of oil price increase fearing that it will have a global impact and would lead to a disaster.
Mr. Bush asked them 'what seems to be the problem, surely there's a way to lower the price?'
They replied, "Mr. President, sir, there are various factors that affect the gas price... we can't wait, we've got to do something before it hits USD100 per barrel!'
The President looked confused. Very confused. He then asked, 'How much did you say?'
The Congressmen replied 'USD100 per barrel, sir!"
Mr. Bush then smiled and was so relieved and said:
'Ooohhh it's easy and worry no more.
Go and ask them ... these gas producers,
how much would it cost ... without the barrel.'

Welcome to the world of anonymity.
As from today I have decided that I shall carry on writing this bloG under anonymity. I feel somewhat safe and secure to be anonymous right now. Not that I am afraid of revealing my true identity .. it's just that I want to feel free to express myself. More importantly I would be most comfortable to share my experience with the World. .. without fear or favour. .. without suspicion or motive.
As for those of you out there who already know me.. it's okay. You are never a threat my friend, but I do regard you all as my brothers in arms; whom I hold close to my heart and always in my prayers. I hope you get what I mean.
----
ON DAY TO DAY BASIS.
----
Okay, I'll try to be creative and explorative on all issues. But most of all I will try to relate more of myself here, what has hapenned, what I'm doing, where I am, who I'm with etc. etc.
Until next time.

Day to Day basis
Life is an adventure. Lots of ups & downs. Why is it like that, God only knows.
I'd like to equate myself as an airplane. Many times it hits turbulances & there are several of them such as severe, heavy & light. But for most severe cases no matter how bad or how hard it is, the plane would stabilise eventually. Most of them do. What more nowadays with all the state of the art technology installed in all new planes, they have actually been designed to withstand the worst case scenario ever. Imagine that. Still according to some aviation experts the most dangerous time during air flight is during take off and landing.
There were a couple of cases where planes crashed during landing recently the one in Jakarta and if i am not mistaken in South America where the jet overshot the runway. As for the one in Jakarta it turned out that the plane was coming down too fast and hit hard on the ground.
Now coming back to what i was saying above, to me we are like an airplane too. We have to expect turbulences in our lives; be it severe medium or light. And as to whether we can withstand these turbulences i think it would depend on our experiences and knowledge. Also our faith in God.
To me i have come to a realisation that the more turbulences we experience in life the more experience and knowledge we will gain. It is to our benefit actually. If so we have to crash during any of these turbulences; to me it is the will of God that we have to accept. Remember sometimes when a plane crashes there are still survivors found alive and well!
So when we are experiencing turbulences normally in a plane the pilot will light the seat belt sign ON and the flight attendant will switch the cabin lights OFF; if it gets worse, oxygen masks will fall out & at the end we will be asked to bend our body to our knees and brace ourselves to expect the worst.
So comparing that to real life I suppose what we should do when we are experiencing 'turbulence' is perhaps to switch OFF all our future ambitions or projections for the time being and wait until we pass by it. We should go very slow in whatever we do at time like this. In other words we should carry ourselves on Day to Day Basis.
I am experiencing severe turbulence in my life right now. So severe that anytime it may crash! But until i do I am going to do all the necessary within my power to come out of this turbulence. I am not ready to land yet and I believe my destination is a long way to reach. So for those who know me would surely realise that i have been missing in action for a while. I am still around and keeping hard to stay afloat. At the moment my 'seat belt' sign's light is ON and all other 'cabin lights' are OFF. Maybe in a week or so my 'oxygen mask' will come down and I may have to brace myself. At the moment no sign that the 'turbulence' will slow down so I am still hoping for the best. Insya Allah! So for those who do know me personally I sincerely apologise for being missing in action. God willing we shall meet again in the near future.
Anyway I think it is not too late to wish everyone SELAMAT HARI RAYA 'AIDILFITRI. MAAF ZAHIR BATIN. May all the blessings be with everybody.

Celebrating the 1st...!
BUT Then who cares!
On a personal note, can’t help but feeling very proud to be ‘anak Nogori’.. Yes the 1st angkasawan negara is from Negeri Sembilan. Unfortunately this was not highlighted by the state government. I wonder why? There were so many things I believe the state government could have done to capitalise on this great achievement but sadly there’s no mention at all. Rugi, rugi!
But nonetheless it shouldn’t dampen our spirit to celebrate… Celebrating the 1st!!
Well this is not the first you know, if you know what I mean! We have had our 1st Yang Di Pertuan Agong from Negeri Sembilan Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman & Tan Sri Norma Yaacob as the 1st lady to be appointed Chief Judge of Malaya. Now to add on the list the 1st Angkasawan Negara also from Negeri Sembilan. I bet there are many more 1st from Negeri Sembilan. Are there?

More jokes.. I like
The Zen Master is visiting New York City from Tibet.
He goes up to a hot dog vendor and says, "Make me one with everything."
The hot dog vendor fixes a hot dog and hands it to the Zen Master, who pays with a $100 bill.
The vendor puts the bill in the cash box and closes it.
"Where's my change?" asks the Zen Master.
The vendor responds, "Change must come from within."
.....
A well dressed gentleman enters the bar of a five star restaurant, sits at the bar and orders 4 very very expensive drinks. The bartender serves them on a silver tray, setting all four in front of the patron.
The man then consumes all four drinks in a matter of seconds.
The bartender comments, "Wow, you sure must have a problem."
"If you had what I had," the man replies, "you'd drink them fast, too."
Leaning over, the sympathetic bartender asks, "What do you have?"
"Fifty cents," the man answers.
.....
A worried patient went to his psychiatrist.
"Doc, You gotta help me, I'm in love with my horse," he said.
"Ohh, that's normal. Nothing to worry about," replied the shrink. "A lot of people love animals. For instance, my wife and I have a cat that we both love so very much."
"Ah, but doc," the patient replied. "It's a sexual attraction that I feel toward my horse."
"Ahhh! whoahhh!" exclaimed the doc. "What kind of a horse is it? Male or female?"
"Female, of course," said the man. "What??!! You think I'm gay?"

Keep the Faith!
I believe that presently many Muslims would agree with me that life as Muslims are getting tougher by the day & probably in days to come. Indeed now is a trying time for all Muslims around the world.
We are facing with problems that are new to us never before faced by our forefathers and the Muslims before us. We have been observed by others discriminately & with fear. So much so there are some people particularly in the West who would like to relate Islam with terrorism & advocating openly that Islam is the religion of evil!
I believe that this problem emanates from our lack of strength in power and also mainly due to an apparent disunity among Muslims around the world. If look closely most of the Muslim countries are plagued with their own problems such as war which includes sectarian war, famine, poverty and also social problems.
As mentioned above, one of the main problems faced by us today is the negative perception of our religion perceived by those who are ignorant of our religion.
Yes we have faced this problem before but the difference is now those people as aforesaid are not only ignorant of Islam but they are becoming malicious towards it. Nowadays these people are derogating & condemning Islam in the open. Even you may find some bloGs in the internet dedicated to ridicule Islam and declaring themselves as the enemy of Islam. And these people are unafraid to do so. There are also instances where Muslims are being persecuted just because they are Muslims.
Alhamdulillah, we in Malaysia do not have that situation. I believe this is mainly because, the Muslims in this country still have the controlling power especially the political power. More so we are fortunate to have Rulers (our monarchs) who reign over Islamic matters in our country. And also due to the fact that the religion of Islam is being recognised in the Federal Constitution as the religion of the Federation ie. Malaysia.
Be that as it may, I dare say that there are still many non Muslims in this country are now being cautious of our religion and some are scepticals of the Muslims, compared to earlier days. And I wonder why is this so? Are they unhappy & scared of the religion or are they actually scared & unhappy with the Muslims?
The teachings of Islam have never changed but perhaps the way it is practised has differed. Muslims now are more conscious of the do's and donts of the religion; unlike before where most of them were a bit liberal.
There are some Muslims nowadays who feel that in order for them to be true Muslims they must avoid all kinds of vice & things or matters that are prohibited by the religion. And in doing so they may cause some concerns to the non Muslims as some of these things & matters which are prohibited by Islam; are acceptable by their standard of practice and even are part of their culture. In so much so it gives them the impression that with the emergence of these self conscious Muslims it would eventually eradicate their religions cultures & practices; or worse these self conscious Muslims are embarking on a 'crusade' to convert all the non Muslims into Muslims!
Actually it is a misunderstanding that needs to be corrected. These self-concious Muslims are just being self concious and just that. We just want ourselves & our families to be able to practise our faith as close as possible to the true teaching of Islam. We want to emulate our Holy Prophet as much as possible and this by all means is not an easy task especially at times like now; with so many challenges and new forms of temptation.
Our friends of other religions should not be worried at all if the Muslims want to be ‘more Islamic’ than before because this would naturally be good for all. For example a true Muslim would not indulge himself to practice corruption & are commanded to be honest & fair at all times & in all matters. Can you imagine how nice our lives would be if everybody is honest & fair & avoid corrupt practices. Naturally businesses will flourish and opportunities will spread to all. Wouldn't this be good to all? In fact the non Muslims in this country should demand that the Muslims be more Islamic & follow the true teaching of Islam. That's a great thought, ain't it?
In my view it is our responsibility as Muslims to correct & eradicate this misperception & apprehension towards our religion. We should lead by example & we should start by showing & practising care & concern towards all. We should promote all the good qualities our religion possesses & as we know they are abundant. To me this should be a good start. Everyone can do this as a call for da’wah.
It should start now before it is too late. As it is, now there are some people out there in this country Muslims & non Muslims; who want Islam to be practiced by the Muslims quietly & in private. They are pushing hard to separate the religion from the administration of the society & they are calling for the supremacy of 'man-made' laws over the laws of the Syari'ah. And they are doing this in the name of freedom of expression & freedom of religion. Examples are those who said that the call of ‘azan' is the disturbance of peace & those who reject the notion that Malaysia is an Islamic country & those who want Muslims to be allowed to change their religion according to their own free will. They want Islam to be contained & they want to propogate that Islam is just like any other religion.
These to me is a point of the beginning; if not corrected could lead to the creation of the opponents of Islam in Malaysia. And if this happens it will surely lead to instability.
So it is up to us Muslims to correct this misperception of our religion & it should start now!
As for me the creation of this bloG is my humble beginning as my da’wah to call all Muslims to unite as one to clear all doubts & apprehension regarding Islam as mentioned above and in doing so insya Allah we would uphold the dignity of Islam.I do hope others will do the same perhaps in their own way but no matter how the da’wah must start now.
For a start, I wish to advocate that as a sign of appreciation of the contribution of the non Muslims in the development of the country & as a first step towards erasing the apprehension & misconception as stated above, we in Malaysia should address the non Muslims in this country, who are not waging war against our religion & who are not the opponents of Islam; as our 'friends of other religions' in place of the term 'non-Muslims'. Perhaps this could enlighten them of our recognition of their rights & they deserve to be protected. Hopefully this could bring all our hearts together for the sake of nation building & most importantly for the sake of the future generation of this country i.e. our children!
To all my friends of other religions, please do not be alarmed of Islam as it is the religion faith based on the Holy Qur'an & the practices of the Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW which propogates among others justice & equality to all & commands its followers to do good deeds to all. And NO my friends, I am sorry to say that Islam is not like any other religion. Actualy it encompasses all aspects of life. In short it is not only a religion per se; it is a way of life.
To my Muslim brothers & sisters, there is more about Islam than meets the eye & to know more is just not enough; you need to gain benefits from it & to do so you have to be sincere & honest to yourself. Let us Keep the Faith.
On the subject of Faith I have come across a piece of writing on it compliment; of my dear brother Mr. Hazlisham; thanks for sending this to me.
"
An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with God, The Almighty. He asks one of his new Muslim students to stand and.....
Professor: You are a Muslim, aren't you, son?
Student: Yes, sir.
Prof: So you believe in God?
Student: Absolutely, sir.
Prof: Is God good?
Student : Sure.
Prof: Is God all-powerful?
Student: Yes.
Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him.
Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn't.
How is this God good then? Hmm?
(The student is silent.)
Prof: You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fella. Is God good?
Student : Yes.
Prof: Is Satan good?
Student : No.
Prof: Where does Satan come from?
Student: From...God.. .
Prof: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student : Yes.
Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything. Correct?
Student : Yes.
Prof: So who created evil?
(Student does not answer.)
Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness?
All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?
Student : Yes, sir.
Prof: So, who created them?
(Student has no answer.)
Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son...Have you ever seen God?
Student: No, sir.
Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?
Student : No , sir.
Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God?
Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?
Student : No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student : Yes.
Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.
Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof: Yes.
Student : No sir. There isn't.
(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)
Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we
use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.
(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)
Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?
Student : You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can
have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light....But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?
Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)
Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavour, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?
(The class is in uproar.)
Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain?
(The class breaks out into laughter.)
Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it?....No one appears to have done so.
So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?
(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable. )
Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.
Student : That is it sir.. The link between man & god is FAITH.
That is all that keeps things moving & alive.

On a lighter note ...
In the spirit of celebration & on a lighter note, here are some of the jokes which I personally find it to be very funny & deserve to be shared with others.
I do love jokes very much not only because they make me laugh but I believe they also bring out positive vibes from our body.
If you don’t believe why not try it… just LAUGH!
P/S
“Laughter is the best medicine” & without it life would be too dull, don’t you think?

When Bob found out he was going to inherit a fortune when his sickly father died, he decided he needed a woman to enjoy it with. So one evening he went to a singles bar where he spotted the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
Her natural beauty took his breath away. "I may look like just an ordinary man," he said as he walked up to her, "but in just a week or two my father will die, and I'll inherit 20 million dollars."
Impressed, the woman went home with him that evening.
Three days later, she became his stepmother.
-----
A plane was taking off from KLIA.
After it reached a comfortable cruising altitude, the captain made an announcement over the intercom,
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. Welcome to Flight Number 293, nonstop from Kuala Lumpur to Los Angeles. The weather ahead is good and, therefore, we should have a smooth and uneventful flight. Now sit back and relax...OH, MY GOD!"
Silence followed, and after a few minutes, the captain came back on the intercom and said,
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I am so sorry if I scared you earlier. While I was talking to you, the flight attendant accidentally spilled a cup of hot coffee in my lap. You should see the front of my pants!
Then a passenger in Coach yelled,
"That's nothing. You should see the back of mine!"
-----
A man walked into the clubhouse and noticed a friend sitting in a corner wearing a neck brace.
He sat down and asked his mate what happened.
"Well, I was playing golf and I hit my ball into the rough," replied his friend."Then I met this lady who was looking for her ball too. Finding mine, I thought I'd give her a hand. There was a cow nearby and I noticed that every time the cow twitched its tail there was a flash of white. So I went over to it and lifted its tail and sure enough there was her ball. I called out to the lady and said, 'Lady, does this look like yours?'.. And then she came & hit me in the neck with her driver!"
-----
Q: How do you embarrass an archaeologist?
A: Give him a used tampon and ask him which period it came from.

An Update...
Eidul Fitri 2007 (1428H) is just around the corner!
Personally, there is no grand preparation for this year. Things have been hard & challenging for the past months. However by the grace of Allah SWT I have managed to live through it.
Something exciting is coming up in a couple of days but I am unable to put words on it. It is still pending confirmation. Oh it’s just work matters nothing much though it would be exciting.
I’ve been following on the news; still upset that till today the murderer of arwah Nurin Jazlin has yet to be brought to justice. I believe the police are making sure that they would have ample of evidence to convict the suspect once he/she is arrested & brought to Court as the accused. This would be another gruelling ordeal for arwah’s family & to us all.
Imagine if the Court were to find the accused not guilty in the case! It would be a national uproar. Because the public doesn’t really know what it really takes to convict an accused in the court of law, especially in this case where possible eyewitness may not be available. So most probably the prosecution would have to rely heavily on circumstantial evidence supported by medical evidence.
Two days ago the Indonesian lady who had swallowed the sim card purportedly to have contained information vital to the case has been released by the police. This is not really a good news. Of course the police can always re-arrest her in the event that any new evidence resurfaced.
But at least the police have identified 2 possible suspects who are still at large but then again they can only be implicated if the medical testings such as DNA, blood test or finger prints show that they had been in contact with arwah. For now it is hard to tell.
To me it is okay to wait a little bit longer for the police to build up concrete evidence for this case rather than prosecuting a possible suspect based on limited evidence as the repercussion could be disastrous. Case in point would be the recent case of arwah Norita where the accused was acquitted without the defence being called. What this means is the prosecution has no case at all! And this would also means the police have got the wrong guy!! And sadly until today the case remains unsolved as no conviction has been made.
By all means this shouldn’t happen in arwah Nurin’s case. So let us give the police time & space to continue with their investigation in building up the case. I am very sure by now the police have in mind several suspects but to arrest one without concrete evidence would be useless too. Furthermore nowadays cautioned statements per se by the accused would not necessarily implicate the accused in the court of law. Example let say if the accused after being arrested & remanded for investigation, during the remand period admitted to the crime in his cautioned statement to the police, surely his defence counsel would challenge it during the trial.
I say this of course in supposition that the accused would plead not guilty when he/she is brought before the court. Normally the accused would do so in cases of capital punishment. This is of course his right. He shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty. Yes eventhough there is glaring evidence against him. And if he can’t afford it a legal counsel will be provided by the Court to him free of charge.
So, to sum it up the actual legal process has yet to begin. Until then we should allow the police to carry out their duty diligently & to do so we, the public should have full confidence in our police force to carry out their duty.
By now the real culprit could be in hiding & I bet you that as days go by they will be reading all the newspapers & watching TV to know what the police are doing. He/She would want to know whether the police have any new lead on the case. Now if the media keep hounding the police on latest information and if it's given & publish, don’t you think this would assist the culprit to plan an escape plan. So give it a rest & once again let the police do their job!
Insya Allah once the real culprit is brought to justice we would be able to see the evidence the police would have against him/her & let the legal process takes its course.

Just an Update...
It has been a while since I've posted anything here. Personally, this is because nothing much is going on. Got a few 'Hari Raya' cards from friends & acquaintances. Overall things are ... just okay.
As for current affairs; the continuation of the mind boggling case of Nurin Jazlin on the news of the capture of a suspect & the denial of it from the IGP, the involvement of the FBI, then came the arrest of 5 people together with an Indonesian lady, then the release of 4 of them on police bail & the SIM card which is purported to have contained evidence material to the case which is now still in the lady's stomach!! Of course not to mention the possibility that this may have something to do with a syndicated child pornography & paedophiles.
Be that as it may it is such a relief to know that both parents have been cleared of all the negative suspicions looming around them such as that they might be the cause of the abduction & even murder when the police confirmed that this is the murder by chance committed by those who do not know the parents and have nothing to do with them.
For the record I am in support of the blog dedicated for Nurin created by her uncle at this address http://nurinjazlin.blogspot.com/
and perhaps it is time we as citizens of this country to seriously consider the setting up of our very own centre or movement for missing youths as elaborated in the latest posting in the said blog.
Other than that the news on Tun Dr Mahathir's progress has been captivating me in the past week where I have been a regular at Marina Mahathir's blog at this address http://www.rantingsbymm.blogspot.com/
For the record I must say that Tun Dr Mahathir has been an inspiration to all Malaysians and he will always be. To me his love for this country and the people is genuine. He is a true leader by all standards; Asian, Malaysian, Malay & Muslim. He always dares to speak out his mind, sometimes too outspoken but his intention is always sincere & mostly for the good of the people. Yes I also do not agree with some of the decisions he made politically but that is only one aspect of it. As the former leader of this country and his immense contribution to & promotion of the development of Islam in this country, I am very proud of him & always thankful to him for that.
I shall be posting very very soon.

Appalled & Disgusted!
To the story that is close to our hearts; of Allahyarham Nurin Jazlin.
It is so appalling to read and hear reports of the possibility that prosecution action can be taken against Nurin's parents for negligence!
This is outrageous out-right stupid & blatantly insensitive.
Her parents have suffered enough and everyone should allow them to take time to grieve over the sudden & untimely passing of their beloved daughter. They would most probably carry this grief for the rest of their lives. What they need now is support & time and space to mourn but certainly not punishment.
This process will take time as after grieving comes the process of healing. Their other children need them most right now and they both must be strong for them. So by suggesting the possibility that action can be taken against them is disgusting!
What we all should do right now is to focus on how to nab this evil demonic murderer who is still at large as quickly as possible! This should be a concerted effort.
And those in powers should start to organise a campaign throughout this country to create awareness amongst parents that it is no longer safe to leave their children alone and unattended. They must be supervised at all times if not by their parents by a responsible guardian.
Remember the case of Adik Yin who was lost in a blink of an eye at a public place? He was so lucky to have been in good care and eventually returned unharmed to his parents. It is unbearable to imagine what could have happened if he were to fall in the wrong hands. God forbid! And God forbids that there should be another case like this again.
It is time for our society to wake up. Be alert and be responsible. Children are innocent beings and in their world there is no enemy and everyone's a friend. To them their only fear is to ghosts and goblins. Maybe we should tell this to our children beside the old famous 'don't talk to strangers, don't accept sweets from strangers' advice; that is there are ghosts & goblins out there looking for children to take them away, so don't ever let yourself alone anymore!
The fact is our country used to be a safe place for children where they could play freely in the playground among themselves, cycling around the neighbourhood, going to shops to buy goodies; all on their own. This scenario has now ceased to exist. Not because the children are uncontrollable but because they could easily fall prey to predators who are unseen by everyone; camouflage in a natural surrounding. This is a grisly reality that every parent in our country should accept and be aware of at all times; that is ... our place is no longer safe for children to go outside moving around freely on their own like it used to be, period!
To arwah Nurin's parents; be strong and keep the Faith and to her siblings & other family members; Nurin sekarang ahli Syurga & berada di sisi Allah kerana Allah lebih menyayangi dia. Al-Fatihah.

At last I find the reason...
Assalamu'alaikum & Salam Sejahtera,
Apparently it is not easy to pen down your thoughts in writing. Especially when you know that it can be seen and read by all. I discover this only after I started this bloG of mine.
Having no limitation as what to write; anything under the sky as they say it, one may end up becoming delirious if not careful. So boundaries have to be set after all and these boundaries shall not transgress and trespass into the realm of sensitivities as provided under the laws of this country or our customs and most importantly our faith and religion. So other than that it's okay; meaning as long as we keep our heads up and mind over matter we shall not go astray. God willing.
When you are free to say anything you want, when you are your own captain who sets the limit of your own sail, it is not easy to not be tempted by an urge to spill your brains out or to pour your heart and mind out over matters that you think are important and needed to be addressed. This however, will certainly make your journey endless; and an endless journey will lead to nowhere.
So rules and boundaries have to be set and be adhered to. Having said this, I shall confine my writings and comments in my bloG to matters of upmost important especially to the society that I live in, as well as to matters that I think can contribute to the betterment of this society.
However first and foremost I must find passion and reason for this bloG.
I am passionate about my religion; that is the religion of Islam or most appropriately I should say my way of life... Keep the Faith; that is my motto.
And I am most passionate about the plight of my race; that is the Malay race; not so much of race per se or the fact that I was born into it but more so of the struggle of this race to stay united; despite being invaded and colonised over many years ever since the early years of this country and throughout the independence of this country. With so many shortcomings and disparity amongst its people in terms of wealth, social standing and even status and the growing influence of the western culture onto its younger generation, up till to date the Malay race has still managed to stay united; though not an easy strive; and their leaders have acknowledged and emphasised on the importance of staying united especially in trying times as now.
OK. Stopping short at being too philosophical or becoming delirious, I shall now state my reason for this bloG as follows: -
This blog is created to manifest the freedom of speech in Malaysia as enshrined in Article 10(1)(a) of its Federal Constitution.
This freedom is still alive and well, ... unless otherwise proven!
It is also to recognise the diversity of opinions in this multi lingual multi racial & multi religous society and also the differences of opinions. These differences makes a difference!
If used well it may certainly enrich our knowledge and enhance our capabilities in dealing with problems relating to our society; be it social economical or even a religious one! May God have mercy on all of us and continues to bless our country.

Al-Fatihah buat Nurin.
Assalamu'alaikum & Salam sejahtera...
To all viewers... or shall i say readers of this bloG: -
I wish you all a very warm WELCOME and I hope we could share our views and opinions on the everyday things happening in our lives here.
